Terms of use

Last updated 10 October 2026

Posfront Studio is software an independent beauty artist uses to take bookings, manage her diary and keep her own books. These are the terms for using it.

What we are, and are not

We provide the software. The appointment itself is between the artist and her client — we are not a party to it, do not set prices, and take no cut of anything. What is done at an appointment, what it costs, and whether it is refunded are matters for the artist.

Deposits and payments

A service marked approximate may change after consultation. The artist must name a final booking price and you must accept it before the artist can approve that request or ask for its deposit. A quote for later work does not book or charge for that later work.

Where an artist asks for a deposit, it is charged by Stripe and paid straight into her account. She is the merchant of record. Refunds and disputes are between the client, the artist and Stripe.

An artist must have finished Stripe's own onboarding before she can ask for anything; until Stripe says she is ready, the software refuses to take a payment rather than send a client to one that would fail.

An artist's account

Fair use

Do not use the software to send unsolicited messages, to impersonate someone, or to break the law. We may suspend an account being used that way.

Optional booking texts

Some studios offer optional booking texts. The booking form names the sender. If it names Posfront, clients may choose to receive up to one appointment confirmation text per confirmed booking from Posfront, including preparation details from the studio. If it names the studio, that studio may send appointment confirmation and preparation texts through its own approved texting service. The checkbox is optional and does not affect whether a client can request an appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to the number that sent a text to opt out. For help with Posfront texts, reply HELP or write to hello@posfront.com. The privacy policy explains how we handle the phone number and consent.

Optional opening emails

If a studio offers cancellation-opening alerts, you may choose a service and date and request one email when a cancellation or reschedule creates availability. You must confirm your email first. An alert is informational: it does not hold a slot, guarantee that one remains open, or create a booking. You can stop opening alerts using the link in the email.

Availability

We work to keep the service running but cannot promise it is never interrupted. Keep your own note of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Ending it

An artist may close her account whenever she likes, and doing so removes her records as described in the privacy page. We would only close an account ourselves for the reasons under Fair use, and would say why.

Liability

The software is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost business, lost bookings or lost income arising from its use.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes and artists are told by email. Carrying on using the software after that means the new terms apply.
